1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using primefactors.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use our services.

For users under 18: A parent or guardian must review and accept these Terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Services

Prime Factors Learning Lab provides:

• Educational programs in computer science, media, mathematics, and social-emotional learning
• Volunteer opportunities
• Donation processing
• Educational resources and information

3. Eligibility

• Most programs are for ages 12-18 (specific age ranges vary by program)
• Adult programs available for ages 18+
• Parental consent required for participants under 13

4. Donations

Tax Deductibility

Prime Factors Learning Lab is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 88-2007038). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You'll receive a receipt for tax purposes.

Recurring Donations

• Monthly donations continue until you cancel
• You can cancel anytime through the Stripe customer portal
• No refunds for previous months, but cancellation stops future charges

Fund Restrictions

Donations designated for specific programs will be used for those programs. If a program is fully funded or discontinued, we'll use funds for similar programs or contact you for reallocation.

Payment Security

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card information on our servers.

5. Volunteer Services

• We reserve the right to decline or dismiss volunteers
• Volunteers act as representatives and must follow our code of conduct
• Volunteer hour logs are maintained for recognition and reporting

6. Intellectual Property

Our Content

All content on primefactors.org (text, images, logos, curriculum) is owned by Prime Factors Learning Laband protected by copyright. You may not reproduce without permission.

Student Work

For projects, artwork, or other work created by students in our programs:

• We obtain explicit permission before using student work in marketing or displays
• Parents/guardians must provide written consent for use of minor's work
• Students retain ownership but grant us a non-exclusive license to showcase their work

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Impersonate others or provide false information
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Interfere with website security or functionality
• Use automated systems to access the site (scraping, bots)

8. Program Participation

Code of Conduct

Participants must:

• Treat others with respect
• Follow instructor guidance
• Attend regularly (for multi-session programs)
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Specific outcomes from programs
• Accuracy of all information

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prime Factors Learning Lab is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or opportunities.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Jersey, USA. Disputes will be resolved in Newark, New Jersey courts.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll notify you of material changes via email or website notice.
